According to GDPR, you must document a specific legal basis from the legislation that allows the organization to collect and process personal information. In this field, you can edit and create all the legal bases your organization is using when processing information.
Create legal basis
To create a new legal basis follow the steps below.
- Click “Create legal basis” on the right corner.
- Fill in the master data:
Name: The name of the legal basis
Short name: A short name for the legal basis can be the name your organization is using when referring to the legal basis.
Description: You can add a description to be more specify further details around the legal basis.
Category: This can be used when working with different legislation or laws. This could be the EU law ie. GDPR or it could be a national anti-money-laundering law. You have the possibility to categorize different legislations or laws.
3. Click Save to add the new legal basis to your list.
Update legal basis
To update the existing legal basis your organization is using when processing information.
Follow the below steps:
- Click on the edit icon.
- Update the name of the legal basis.
- Update short name.
- Update the description.
- Update the category of the legal basis.
- Click save.
Delete legal basis
To delete legal basis follow the below steps:
- Click on the trash can icon.
- Click confirm.
- Deletion completed.
