What is a threat?
A threat is a potential event that can trigger a risk to the organization.
Below is a list of examples of what a threat can be:
- Denial of Service Attacks
- Phishing
- Virus
What does it mean to mitigate a threat?
When a control mitigate a threat it means that by performing the control, the impact of the risk or the probability that the threat occur, will be diminished.
Add threat
Click on “add threat” to open a pop-up window from where you can search for an appropriate threat that the generic control has some mitigating effect on.
